Granite is a crystalline igneous rock of coarse grain composed mainly of quartz and feldspar. This emerges from a gradually cooling magma that undergoes extreme pressures deep below the surface of the earth.

Granite Colours

Granite colors differ depending on the location of the granite reserves and the minerals on the ground where they were produced. The texture and color of granite slabs is dictated by the mixture proportions and arrangement of mineral crystals. Granite colors turn white into utter black. The primary colors of world-famous granites are white, black, brown, green, and red granites.

If there is a higher ratio of quartz and albite in granite, granite shapes are susceptible to scale of white to gray colours. More elevated potassium feldspar ratio shifts the color of granite slabs to pink depending on other mineral presence. Biotite is an essential mineral for mainly black dark colors.

Granite scarcity also determines the size of the value. There are rarely any colors whereas there are rich colors. Absolute Black, Black Galaxy, Tan Brown, Rosa Porrino, Rosa Beta, Baltic Pink, Blue Pearl and Emerald Pearl are the most popular colors in demand. Some rare granite colors are especially the exotic ones imported from Brazil, including Carioga Gold, Juparana Fantastic, Humiata, Lynx etc.
